Bio:

Hello and welcome.

Rosetteroyale.com is about storytelling: Stories that I’ve told and stories I’d like to tell. Some might cause you to chuckle; others may make you shake your head in disbelief; still others may cause the tears to flow. That’s how it is with stories.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved stories. Along with studying English at Colby College — in good old (cold) Waterville, Maine — I minored in Creative Writing for Fiction. I then attended the graduate Creative Writing program, again in Fiction, at Boston University. After all that education, I lived in Provincetown, Mass., on Cape Cod, for seven years, where I worked for a handful of summer mags and the start-up paper, The Provincetown Banner.

These days, I work as a journalist. Specifically, I’m Assistant Editor for Real Change, a weekly paper sold on the streets of Seattle by vendors whom are either homeless or low-wage earners. There, I write articles, lay out the paper, edit text, post articles to the Web. In other words: a lot. And, from time to time, I do a little freelance.

In addition to writing, I also do a bit of radio work as well. I’ve produced a few news pieces and hosted a live interview radio talk show on KBCS, located at Bellevue Community College.

Rosetteroyale.com will be a place where these print articles and audio files will live. Here, you’ll also discover other pieces I’ve crafted — written, audio, video — that tell stories about all of us.

So tell me what you think. Share your ideas. Tell me a story.

And I’ll tell you one, too…
